Oc­to­ber 19th-21st 2018 No­vaw­inch ‘Bat­tle of the Palace

– Teams Event 2018 at Pos­sum Palace, North­land. Nor­west OHV Club is pleased to an­nounce that we are host­ing the No­vaw­inch ‘ Bat­tle of the Palace – Teams Event 2018’ over Labour week­end this Oc­to­ber at Pos­sum Palace in North­land. Open to all com­peti­tors who are mem­bers of the New Zealand 4WD As­so­ci­a­tion ( NZFWDA). Ve­hi­cles will have to meet Nor­west OHV Club re­quire­ments and a min­i­mum re­quire­ment of ex­treme mud t yres. More in depth de­tails are in­cluded with the en­try forms. The event is lim­ited to 12 teams. The cost per Team is $ 450 with a $ 50 dis­count to en­tries that are paid prior to the 1st Au­gust Gates open on Fri­day 19th Oct, com­pe­ti­tion runs over Sat 20th and Sun­day 21st Oc­to­ber ( Mon­day 22nd is a hol­i­day). All com­peti­tors are in with a chance of a spon­sor prize as driv­ers names are drawn ran­domly, so whether you’re first or last you could still walk away with the top prize. A Na­tional 4x4 Trial is based upon the abil­ity of Com­peti­tors to drive their ve­hi­cles over dif­fi­cult ter­rain, in­clud­ing hill climbs, wa­ter cour­ses, mud bogs, up steep hills, over rocks, ruts, along banks and a speed sec­tion. Open to the pub­lic and spec­ta­tor friendly, the NZ Na­tional 4x4 Tri­als Se­ries com­prises of one- day events hosted by NZFWDA af­fil­i­ated clubs around the coun­try. Jan­uary 25th-28th 2019 Motu School East Cape Sa­fari 2019;

Auck­land An­niver­sary Week­end. The sa­fari be­gins at Motu School on 25th Jan­uary and weaves in and out the East Coast re­gion and usu­ally fin­ishes at the Raukokere Church on Jan­uary 28th. The Sa­fari tours through the back­blocks of the East Coast with in­cred­i­ble views and in­ter­est­ing ex­pe­ri­ences on the way, trav­el­ling forests, farms, rivers and tracks. The aim is to travel cross coun­try as far as pos­si­ble and prac­ti­cal, as al­ways the weather has the ul­ti­mate say. The Sa­fari is de­signed as a fam­ily af­fair, but will have enough in­ter­est to keep the more ad­ven­tur­ous en­ter­tained. Camp­ing ar­eas ar­ranged ( BYO tents and com­forts). Evening meals will be avail­able to pur­chase. More de­tails fol­low­ing reg­is­tra­tion. All ve­hi­cles to be reg­is­tered and war­ranted so you com­ply with the forestry per­mit. All ve­hi­cles to have min­i­mum of third party in­sur­ance. You need this to com­ply with the school li­a­bil­ity pol­icy. Cost is $ 500 per ve­hi­cle and spa­ces are lim­ited, the Sa­fari will be capped at 85. It will be on a “first in, first served” ba­sis.
