In the last issue, we mentioned that the supercrazy Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has been confirmed for the Australian and New Zealand markets. Further details on pricing and specifications are be provided once a release date has been confirmed, but what we can tell you is what’s on the technical menu for overseas models — with an apology to readers who have already read this in the previous issue; we’ll keep it short. The Trackhawk is to be powered by a Hellcatderived supercharged 6.2-litre Hemi producing 707hp and 645lb·ft, backed by an eightspeed automatic transmission and a modern four-wheel-drive system. The culmination of this brute force and technology is reported performance stats of a 3.6-second sprint from 0–100kph, and an 11.6-second quarter-mile. We’ll keep you posted as more information is revealed.
