Driver faces two charges
A Queenstown man will appear in the resort’s district court on Monday facing charges of drinkdriving and driving while disqualified.
Senior Sergeant Paula Enoka, of Queenstown, said the man was arrested by police early yesterday.
His vehicle had broken down on Man St, so he called an associate to come and help him.
The man then allegedly drove his associate’s vehicle, towing his own.
A breath test gave a reading of 752mcg and inquiries revealed he was a disqualified driver.
Subsequently, both vehicles had been impounded, Snr Sgt Enoka said.
