Submitters seek changes
Most submitters are requesting amendments be made to proposed bylaw changes on Lake Dunstan.
Of the 22 submissions on the proposed rule changes received by the Central Otago District Council by Thursday, 16 wanted amendments, four opposed altogether and two approved.
The draft bylaws were passed by the council in August and included changes such as the requirement of boat owners to name their vessels and for them to ensure all on board wore life jackets.
Three new swimmingonly spots will be created and speed limits on parts of the lake will be altered.
