Grenfell fire anniversary
London: Britain marked the first anniversary yesterday of the fire that destroyed Grenfell Tower in west London.
The tower (below), London Eye, Downing Street and other buildings near the site of the blaze that killed 72 people turned green at 12.54am (11.54am NZ time), the time of the first 999 call.
A vigil at which the names of the victims were read out took place nearby at 1.30am. — AP
