Arsenal stalwart moving to West Ham
Football: Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has joined West Ham United on a threeyear deal, the Premier League side announced yesterday.
Wilshere left Arsenal at the end of last season following the expiry of his contract, ending a 17year stay at the north London side, but the 26yearold said he was pleased to join a club he has supported since childhood.
‘‘It feels good, it feels special. Many people know that I’ve had a special bond with this club growing up,’’ Wilshere told West Ham’s website.
Wilshere made his senior debut for Arsenal in 2008, and went on to make 197 appearances, winning the FA Cup twice, in 2014 and 2015. — Reuters
