Traffic signal conduits damaged
Workers inspect several conduit pipes damaged during construction of a cycleway in Cumberland St, near the intersection with Stuart St.
The conduits were damaged during construction of part of the NZ Transport Agency’s (NZTA) Dunedin oneway system separated cycle lane project on State Highway 1 through central Dunedin.
An NZTA spokesman would not be drawn on how the conduits were damaged, but said it was a ‘‘very minor incident’’, which would not delay completion of the cycleway.
The conduits carry cables linking traffic signal displays to a controller.
