Children win playhouse
CHILDREN at a Green Island early childhood centre have proved to be the biggest Highlanders fans and have won a new playhouse for their efforts.
In the Great Kiwi Playhouse Giveaway, organised by the Otago Daily Times and Dunedin Venues Management Ltd, local early childhood centres and kindergartens were asked to upload photos to social media to show why they were the biggest Highlanders fans.
The photo from Crackerjax Early Learning Centre from Green Island, showing the happy children bedecked in blue and gold regalia, attracted a winning 200 votes.
The playhouse was built by the Otago Polytechnic with materials provided by Placemakers.
Second place went to Queens Preschool, in South Dunedin, which won a $200 arts and crafts hamper from Eeny Meeny.
