Mt Cook airline to start

The New Zealand Aero Transport Company has received a formal offer of the loan of two Avros and three De Havilland planes now at Washdyke, on condition that the machines are kept in an airworthy condition and used in the advancemen­t of aviation in the dominion (says a Press Associatio­n

telegram from Timaru). The aerodrome at Washdyke is almost completed, and the company expect to begin flying in a fortnight. The intention is to establish a service between Timaru and Invercargi­ll and Timaru and Mt Cook, which will later include Queenstown.
