Robbery accused named
Invercargill: The second of two men accused of the aggravated robbery of the Night ’n Day in Dee St, Invercargill, has had name suppression lifted.
Jamie Lee Phillips (38) appeared by audiovisual link in the Invercargill District Court yesterday, where he faced four charges in relation to the July 30 incident — wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, aggravated robbery, theft of petrol and theft of a motor vehicle.
A member of the public who intervened was stabbed.
Phillips is jointly charged with Adam John Hamilton (38), who is remanded in custody until a hearing next year.
