Robbery accused named

Invercargi­ll: The second of two men accused of the aggravated robbery of the Night ’n Day in Dee St, Invercargi­ll, has had name suppressio­n lifted.

Jamie Lee Phillips (38) appeared by audiovisua­l link in the Invercargi­ll District Court yesterday, where he faced four charges in relation to the July 30 incident — wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, aggravated robbery, theft of petrol and theft of a motor vehicle.

A member of the public who intervened was stabbed.

Phillips is jointly charged with Adam John Hamilton (38), who is remanded in custody until a hearing next year.
