3 new cases in quarantine

WELLINGTON: There were three new Covid19 cases in managed isolation yesterday.

There were no new community cases.

Of the new border cases yesterday:

One person arrived from Romania (via Qatar and Brisbane) on November 3. They were already in an Auckland quarantine facility as a contact of three previously confirmed cases. They returned a positive result to routine day12 testing.

One person arrived from Dubai last Sunday. They returned a positive result to routine day3 testing and are being transferre­d to an Auckland quarantine facility.

One person arrived from Qatar via Brisbane on Tuesday. They returned a positive result to routine day3 testing and are being transferre­d to an Auckland quarantine facility.

There are no new recovered cases, meaning there are 40 active cases of Covid19 in New Zealand.

The last reported community case was last Sunday. That person was a close contact of a female Auckland University of Technology student who contracted the infection from the first Defence Force worker who fell ill. They were already in a quarantine facility when they tested positive.
