Living in the bush

A welleducated Frenchman, a returned soldier, has taken to living in the bush because he cannot secure work (says The Daily Telegraph). He receives a pension of £3 5s per month. He was arrested recently as a vagrant, but the court dismissed the charge. The man said it was his opinion that the method he had adopted really concerned only himself. — ODT, 26.11.1920.
