FROM THE EDITOR
Kei te pe¯hea koutou? Ki te pai! That’s right, it’s Ma¯ori Language Week and I just asked ‘‘how are you?’’ I’m good by the way.
It’s also the first week of advance voting. You should receive your EasyVote cards soon which make voting at the polling booths a breeze.
If you haven’t got it because you’re not enrolled, no worries, as you can still enrol at the advance voting places before you cast your vote.
Check out the Papakura Courier website to read up on some of the candidates for this electorate and if you’re struggling to work out which Party or policies you’re most suited to, try taking one of the handy online surveys like votecompass.tvnz.co.nz/ or policy.thespinoff.co.nz.
But whatever you do, just vote, because democracy is a special thing and we must not take it for granted. Nga mihi matakuikui, Justin
