Pop, lock and drop it Saturday, 11pm I usually head to a gig put on by Friendly Potential or Auckland Techno Collective at one of my favourite bars on Karangahape Road. I love the people you meet and dancing is a great way for me to let off steam after a long work week.
BYO brunch Sunday, 11.30am Sunday morning is always a lazy one spent with my partner lounging in bed until we can’t ignore our rumbling stomachs anymore. We walk to Parnell Farmers Market to get some produce and create a delicious brunch at home. 545 Parnell Rd, Parnell
Family time Sunday, 2pm I love heading out of the city and visiting my family on the Hibiscus Coast. I grew up there and both of my brothers have settled there with their families, so we organise everyone to meet for a potluck dinner. It amazes me how much my three nephews change and grow each time I see them. I love these little humans.
Swimming and pastries Monday, 10am I love going to the beach on Mondays – it’s always quiet as everyone who works 9-5 is back at it, so it’s almost like I own the place. A personal favourite is Karaka Bay. If it’s not beach weather, I’ll be in my kitchen baking; it’s my full-time hobby. Dirty dumplings Monday, 7pm Monday evening usually sees me dining with friends, whether I’m hosting, potluck or meeting friends at a cheap and cheerful. Barilla and New Flavour are always winners. 571 Dominion Rd; 537 Dominion Rd, Balmoral
A spot of gardening Tuesday, 9am My favourite way to start the work week: an early morning forage at Kelmarna Gardens, a little organic community garden. 12 Hukanui Cres, Ponsonby
