Allyson Gofton’s slow cooker favourites

Allyson Gofton, well-known Kiwi cook and author of

the popular cookbook Slow, isn't surprised that crock

pots and slow cookers have seen a revival recently.

She sees them as the perfect way for the cook in a

busy household to make sure there is something

delicious on the table when everyone gets home

for dinner. "It has to be the ultimate fast-food cooker

really: just pile in the ingredients, flip on the switch

and walk out the door. It doesn't get much quicker or

easier to produce a healthy and delicious meal."

We have three copies of Slow by Allyson Gofton to give away. Write your details on the back of an

envelope and post to Family Kitchen giveaway, Parenting magazine, PO Box 37 708, Parnell, Auckland 1151. To enter online go to the competitions page

at www.theparentingplace.com and answer the following: How many carrots are in the Thai kumara

and pork curry recipe? Entries close 1 July 2015.
