character matters

Thank you so much for providing an easy-to-read magazine, with well-written articles on worthwhile topics for parents. It is so nice to have a focus on our kids and their character, rather than content that just speaks about image – something that is usually focused on in the media. I am definitely challenged to be a better parent with each issue.

My husband and I have three girls so I was excited to read the article, Girls Uninterrupted in the July/august issue, and have requested the book at my local library. (I hope it arrives soon!) I loved the focus on emotional intelligence in the article, and thought that adding 'hope' into the mix would be good. Helping our kids become emotionally intelligent should involve helping them acknowledge moments of joy as well as hope. We don’t want to leave joy on its own in the face of sadness, anger and fear.
