I always enjoy reading Parenting magazine and find the articles and information well-balanced. I particularly loved the article in the September/october issue called It’s easy being green. As a family, being 'green' is one of our values. We try our best to be 'eco-friendly' and to live lives that are sustainable. We have recently made our own ‘bee wraps’ for kids’ lunches (to replace gladwrap), and we regularly make our own cleaning products. Using up leftovers for meals is something we really get into as well and we have been surprised at how creative and enjoyable this can be. Our three year old loves to do the recycling and her favourite shops are the op-shops (long may this last!). We were interested to read your idea about finding a park and keeping it clean. We have lots of great green spaces around to choose from and it would be a good way to help us talk to the kids about litter and the effect it has on the water cycle and sea life. Thanks for the great idea. Keep them coming! Jenny Barrow
