A tribute to Teina Terei

Parenting - - Letters -

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Teina Terei (son of Pio Terei). John Cowan interviewed Pio in our previous issue of Parenting about Teina's long and brave battle with leukemia. Unfortunately, he lost that fight in the early hours of Wednesday, 17 August.

Pio has been a much-loved member of The Parenting Place whānau since 2001, delivering hundreds of presentations across the country. Teina also worked with us, helping present at a couple of our National Young Leaders Day events. He was a large personality with an incredible gift for entertaining, and a huge capacity for others. He was taken too soon and will be sorely missed.

Our deepest condolences to Pio, Deb and Teina’s brothers, Jack and Dalton.

With love, The Parenting Place team
