Parenting - - Real Life - 1 tsp ground cof­fee

Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line two medium-sized loaf tins.

Sauce

Dis­solve all in­gre­di­ents to­gether in a saucepan and cook for about 5 min­utes. Set aside till ready to serve.

Loaf

Pop all in­gre­di­ents in a bowl and com­bine re­ally well. You want to be able to taste ev­ery in­gre­di­ent in your loaf with ev­ery bite. Di­vide evenly be­tween your two tins. Cover with foil and bake for 40 mins. Re­move from oven and pour off any nasty juices.

Pour the sauce over the loaves and re­turn to the oven and cook for a fur­ther 20 min­utes, this time un­cov­ered.

Gar­lic mash

Pop one fat clove of gar­lic in with your pota­toes, cook as usual, drain, mash (with but­ter and a lit­tle milk), sea­son and serve.

Serve the meat­loaf with lash­ings of gar­lic mash.
