Players step up for finals night

On a beautiful but cold moon lit night, hundreds of people turned out for the Morrinsvil­le Netball Centre finals.

In the Senior A grade the High Flyers walked away champions with runners up the BRP Blitz also claiming the Goaling Cup.

Champions of the senior reserve A grade were the Cobras blue, after beating the Dutchies.

The Gosling Cup was awarded to Cobras blue.

In the Senior B grade MIS 8A were victorious against Kereone STJR. The Goaling Cup was given to Kereone STJR.

The Cobras gold claimed the championsh­ip in the Senior B reserve with runner up Morrinsvil­le College 9A.

The Goaling Cup went to Cobras Gold.

Champions of the Senior C grade were the Orini Comets and runners up St Joes Hot Shots. The Goaling Cup was awarded to the Orini Comets.

In the Senior C reserve the champions were MIS 7a against MIS 8 teal. The Goaling Cup went to MIS 7a.

Other trophies were presented on the night for Most Improved Senior Player who was Ella Wilton.

The Julie Drummond Trophy was won by Emele Ezekiela with the Irene Lawrence trophy being presented to Vicki-Rose Green. The Andrea Colebourn trophy was won by Kristy McGiven.
