As most winter sports come to an end, 20 year six boys are still being put through their rugby paces.

On September 9-10, these boys, coaches, families and supporters will be travelling to Tokoroa to play in the annual Year 6 Tournament.

Held each year at various venues, this prestigious event sees teams from Morrinsville, Cambridge, Te Awamutu and Matamata compete.

Like with any team sports, sponsorship is essential, and this year Placemakers Morrinsville have come on board to supply the hoodies for the team.

Joe Koning (JV Operator) from Placemakers Morrinsville enjoys being a part of the community and supporting young athletes on their sporting paths.

Last week, outside Placemakers Morrinsville, Joe and Kathy were honoured to hand out the Placemakers Morrinsville year six rep team hoodies individually to the team.

And while the hard work is not over, every member of the team had a beaming smile as they received their hoodie. As the year 6 team converge on Tokoroa, they will put all their hard work and practise into the game at hand.
