Piako Post - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS - STAFF REPORTERS

If your community group is looking for funding from MatamataPiako District Council, now is the time to apply.

Community Grants

Council allocate $30,000 ($10,000 per ward) every year in two funding rounds to help fund community projects, such as running an event, providing training or purchasing equipment among other things.

Non-commercial, not funded from central government and notfor-profit groups can apply for funding of up to $2500 from the community grant scheme during each funding round.

Long Term Plan Grants

Applications are also open for funding through the 2018-28 Long Term Plan. There is no specific amount or limit allocated for these grants, as all applications will be considered for inclusion in the draft Long Term Plan budgets.

Long Term Plan grants are also for community projects but are open to everybody, not just the not-for-profit sector.

Applications are open now until 5pm on October 2. Applicants will also have the opportunity to present their application in person at a meeting on October 18.
