Waikato winners at architecture awards
Four Waikato architects picked up awards at the NZ Architecture Awards. The four were recognised for their designs, which included a heritage building, a townhouse, a newly designed church and a university building. one big space where you feel like you’re outside, but you’re still inside.
‘‘It shows your can build a warm, bright, fun house in those locations. There are also benefits living close to town. We walk to town, to school, so it’s really great.’’
A townhouse in Cambridge, situated in an industrial area close to town, picked up a House Award at the NZ Architecture Awards. The home was designed by architect Christopher Beer.
