When it comes to gardening, energy and labour saving devices are welcomed with open and often dirty hands. Anything that can save your back, arms and legs from being sore at the end of the day is worthwhile. The new Easy Barrow is an improvement on the tried and true wheelbarrow. “After five minutes of using my new barrow I was hooked,” says Kent Olliver. “It is a musthave for all gardeners and horse-owners. From a gardener’s point of view I can get loads more into it as the tray is so big, 100 litres to be precise. It’s easy to push and move around the garden and over stoney uneven ground. I can lock the wheels so it won’t move anywhere, and instead of having to lift the barrow up to empty it I can just flick the lever and it does that for me. The brakes are a real bonus when you have a bale of hay in it, the horses can’t knock it over! On the horse side of things I can put all my gear in it and know that it’s not going to blow over, get knocked over and it will stay in one place.” The Easy Barrow has four wheels instead of two. Two of the wheels are filled with air and the other two swivel and make the barrow easy to manoeuvre, and there are brakes on the two swivel wheels. At the moment the only place you can purchase the barrow is at www.easybarrow.co.nz or by phone 0508 22 77 69.
