Midwinter Christmas feast supports quake city
Calling all business people.
Here is your chance to treat your clients and staff to an evening they won’t forget.
The Mad Butcher and Suburban Newspapers Community Trust has its Ultimate Midwinter Christmas Celebration at the SkyCity Auckland Convention Centre on June 30.
Proceeds will go to the Prime Minister’s Earthquake Appeal and Kidney Kids.
Trust chairman Sir Peter Leitch visited Christchurch this month, speaking with some of the February 22 quake victims in hospital and offering support to emergency workers.
Sir Peter says the upcoming function gives corporates the chance to host clients and friends at a memorable event while supporting a worthy cause.
‘‘Please do everything you can to get together some people to attend. Every cent raised goes to charity. There are no administration costs or hidden fees.’’
Guest speaker will be All Black Coach Graham Henry who’ll be interviewed on stage by broadcaster Tony Veitch.
Comedian Ewen Gilmour will also be on hand to keep people smiling, and music will be provided by the band Black Salt.
The night includes VnC cocktails on arrival, a superb three-course meal, complimentary beer from Lion Breweries and fine wine from Glengarry. Tickets are $3000 plus GST for a table of 10 or $300 plus GST per seat.
