Rodney Times - - YOUR PAPER, YOUR PLACE - - Rhonwyn

I hope you’ve got lots of indoor activities planned for the littlies these school holidays - for ideas look at our What’s On column. We endured a cold, wet weekend and I don’t think the weather’s due to improve any time soon. We can’t complain too much though, it’s been a pretty mild winter so far.

Now’s the time for hunkering down, hearty meals and embracing any moment of sunshine that comes your way. I always remember, on a winter trip to Scotland, my uncle insisting there was no such thing as bad weather - only inadequate clothing. He believed in rugging up and getting amongst it - rain, hail or snow. So remember, if the kids get cabin fever, and the indoor activities aren’t quite cutting it, don a rain jacket and a pair of gumboots and head outside - there’s nothing better than a splash in a muddy puddle.
