FROM THE EDITOR

Rodney Times - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS - - Rhonwyn

School holidays are here and constantly coming up with new ways to keep the kids entertained can be tricky, and expensive. Sure, we are lucky to be surrounded by a coastline and beautiful parks and reserves, but these things may not always be suitable especially when the weather is dreary.

We’ve put together a list of a few events and places to take the little ones during the holidays. See P6.

And if you have a listing to add to our What’s On section, simply visit nbly.nz/rod and fill out the form.

As I write this, the Snells Beach Norfolk pine has been cordoned off and contractors are set to bring it down. The saga around the tree seems to have been handled very badly. I understand the tree is not native, so doesn’t have special considerations, but the birds that roost in it are. We will bring you updates as they happen, remember to check rodneytimes.co.nz for more.
