BEN SANDFORD ROTORUA LABOUR CANDIDATE

Rotorua Review - - OUT & ABOUT -

I want to achieve a lot in my first term. Reduce homelessness and poverty, improve our struggling infrastructure such as reviving rail and easing our city’s bottlenecked highways. I want to ensure our mental health services meet the needs of our community and grow Rotorua as the forestry centre of New Zealand. After 3 years I want to know people in Rotorua are better off, our waterways are cleaner, our economy is stronger, and that our region is an even better place to grow up and live than it is now. would be the Reserve Bank Amendment Act which would improve the affordability of Rotorua for International Tourists. Also making our exports more competitive, including our strong forestry and agricultural industries. This would be coupled with meaningful investment in rail and roads, including the Te Ngae upgrade. Immediate pressures on housing would be addressed. NZ First would support efforts by our local council to attract businesses and their staff out of Auckland, which would begin with a Ministry of Forestry being centred here in Rotorua. Workers (Kaimahi) to do so. Taking care of the People is what I would do. Maori Party will always Manaaki Tangata. It is who we are. It is what we do.
