The Ohope Pres­by­te­rian Church presents this free event for the whole com­mu­nity. Bring a rug and warm clothes and join in the Christ­mas fun. 7.30pm – 8.30pm, Ohope Chris­tian Camp Ground, Po­hutukawa Ave.

SATUR­DAY 10 DE­CEM­BER LO­CAL WILD FOOD CHAL­LENGE

This chal­lenge will be held at Mataatua Te Manuka Tu­tahi, where spec­ta­tors and sup­port­ers will en­joy a day of cook­ing demon­stra­tions, lo­cal food stalls and en­ter­tain­ment while com­peti­tors cre­ate their own wild food dishes. 10.00am – 4.00pm. 105 Muri­wai Drive, Whakatane

SATUR­DAY 7 JAN­UARY OHOPE CRAFT MAR­KET

One of the Bay of Plenty’s big­gest and most vi­brant mar­kets with lo­cal crafts, food, plants and pro­duce. Held ev­ery two weeks of the sum­mer months. 8.00 am, Bluett Road, Ohope

SATUR­DAY 14 JAN­UARY WHAKATANE BERRYTOWN FES­TI­VAL

Fun for all the fam­ily, with lots of crafts, cu­rios, food and en­ter­tain­ment. 9.00am – 3.00pm, Kaka­hora Drive, Whakatane.

CAM­BRIDGE SATUR­DAY 3 – WED­NES­DAY 7 DE­CEM­BER CAM­BRIDGE CHRIST­MAS FES­TI­VAL

A Christ­mas won­der­land, with themed dec­o­rated trees, hand made gifts and dec­o­ra­tions on sale. En­joy mu­sic, raf­fles, lucky dips & home made eats; plus a train, snow­ing tree and Santa (week­end : 12.00pm – 1.30pm). Gold coin do­na­tion, Cam­bridge Town Hall, 10.00am – 6.00pm.

SUN­DAY 4 DE­CEM­BER CHRIST­MAS PA­RADE

Cam­bridge kicks off the fes­tive sea­son with a con­voy of floats parad­ing down Main Street. 2.00pm – 4.00pm.

MATAMATA SUN­DAY 11 DE­CEM­BER CHRIST­MAS MAR­KET

Hand­made arts and crafts, wood­work, NZ made cloth­ing & baby toys, topped off by spe­cial Christ­mas fes­ti­val bak­ing stalls. Kids can play in the su­per­vised area with bouncy cas­tle. 8.00am – 1.00pm. Hin­uera Play­cen­tre, Hin­uera Road.

TIRAU SUN­DAY 18 DE­CEM­BER CRAFT MAR­KET

Last minute Christ­mas shop­ping? Make a dash to the craft mar­ket for some­thing unique. Tirau Me­mo­rial Hall, 7.00am – 3.00pm
