A WORLD OF FUN AT RAINBOW SPRINGS

Rotorua Visitor Guide - - News -

It’s been around for a long time but Rainbow Springs, one of Rotorua’s best known attractions, is always adding to the family fun on offer. Situated on Fairy Springs Rd in a beautiful park-like setting, just minutes from the central city, it’s a great place for families and if you want to enjoy all that’s on offer, set aside a whole day. Kids will love the Big Splash, a nineminute ride through time which ends in a spectacular water plunge and the cost of which is included in your entry fee. You can ride it as many times as you like. The ride isn’t just for fun, it explores New Zealand’s ecological evolution, featuring state of the art technology that brings to life a variety of creatures. There’s also plenty of real wildlife to check out in this picturesque park, both native and imported, including huge trout, native lizards, Jenny the cheeky kea and her friends in the daily bird show and the Kiwi Encounter. Rainbow Springs is also home to Kiwi Encounter , a behind-the-scenes tour of New Zealand’s largest and most successful kiwi nursery and hatchery.
