Ready for the summer time!
Hi everyone. I hope you have all had a great week and are looking forward to the weekend.
Daylight saving starts on Sunday and I’m super excited to have the long sunlight hours again. I always feel like I have more productive days for some reason — are you the same?
Well, it’s that time again where school is out for a couple of weeks and many parents need to find ways to keep their young ones entertained.
Luckily for local parents, Rotorua has plenty on offer.
There are some awesome events on at the Rotorua Library, including a rainbow dance party (sounds like my kind of party!), learning about animal welfare and a lot of craft activities.
There are many other activities on around town to suit all sorts of hobbies and interests.
What will you and your children get up to these school holidays?
This week I also visited Hamurana Playcentre and found out more about its annual Spring Fair and Grand Auction, which is on this weekend.
It is such an awesome playcentre and the children were having a blast when I visited on Monday morning.
So, let’s all head along and help support the centre, as this event is its one major fundraiser each year.
Another great fundraiser which is coming up is the Mitre 10 Mega Ladies Night.
This is such an awesome event with a lot to check out, not to mention the fact that it is raising money for Rotorua Community Hospice.
To find out what cool things are on offer at this year’s event check out the story on page 5.
Tickets are on sale now so make sure you get in quick to secure a place.
There are plenty of other things for you to check out in this issue so I’ll let you get reading.
Don’t forget to keep those reader’s photos and thumbs ups and downs rolling in so we can share what is happening in the community.
Take care, until next time.
Many people checked out the stalls at last year’s Hamurana Playcentre Spring Fair and Grand Auction.
