FROM THE EDITOR
There is loads for you to read in today’s Ruapehu Press.
On the front page we take a look at the new charging system being brought in by The Lines Company. This brings their charging regime more in line with what other companies around the country are doing.
It is also a pretty big win for all those who have campaigned so hard for so long against the existing charging system.
Public opinion and input has also swayed the Ruapehu District Council’s thoughts on the Taumarunui Town Pool. The council is now prepared to fix the pool, hopefully by mid -summer. That is great news for all those who use the pool. Hopefully the repairs are not too extensive.
On page six and seven we celebrate alongside the Manunui Volunteer Fire Brigade and bring you a story and photos from its Centennial and Honours night.
We have more pictures on page 11, while on page three we take a look at the good work of Waata Panui who has been going the extra mile to keep the town tidy.
