Ash­bur­ton’s TranzAlpine Honey is up for a na­tional award run by the Buy NZ Made cam­paign.

The com­pany was the Septem­ber win­ner of the Buy NZ Made Hero Awards, mean­ing it will now go up against the year’s other monthly win­ners for the Ul­ti­mate Hero Award.

The monthly Hero Award is awarded to com­pa­nies who pro­mote their NZ Made sta­tus well and ex­cel at other key com­mer­cial ar­eas like do­mes­tic and in­ter­na­tional growth and di­ver­si­fi­ca­tion into new mar­kets.

TranzAlpine Honey has been owned and op­er­ated by the New­ton fam­ily for 107 years. To­day the busi­ness has ex­panded to in­clude a va­ri­ety of honey and honey prod­ucts sold to a large num­ber of coun­tries in six con­ti­nents. It is one of New Zealand’s and the world’s most highly re­garded man­u­fac­tur­ers in the organic honey in­dus­try.

As a win­ning monthly Hero, TranzAlpine Honey re­ceived a cer­tifi­cate, pro­mo­tion on the Buy NZ Made web­site, pro­mo­tion in tar­get me­dia, Hero art­work which can be used in their own mar­ket­ing, a so­cial me­dia ad­ver­tis­ing voucher worth $100 to be used on the Buy NZ Made so­cial me­dia chan­nels and au­to­matic en­try into the over­all com­pe­ti­tion.
