A moment of calm

Editor of Simply You and mum to Noa, age three, Naomi Larkin knows the importance of a peaceful pause during a busy day

Simply You Living - - In Association With/Bell Tea -

My working day is a combination of meetings, troubleshooting issues, conceptualising ideas, writing and working to deadlines. There’s also balancing my work and home life – my day includes juggling child care, cooking and trying to t in some exercise where I can.

I started in journalism in the 90s. I was in newspapers, news agency, and did a brief stint in radio. Since 2001

I’ve been a magazine editor, in Singapore, South Africa and most recently New Zealand. I’ve been the editor of

Simply You since late 2015; which includes the Style, Living and Body & Beauty issues. All of this keeps me busy.

My work and home style is about choosing clothes that suit my body shape and keeping it mixed – with designer, vintage, second-hand and chain-store buys. I used to wear a lot of black but living overseas and travelling, I now nd colour is a lot more interesting and exciting.

For Naomi Larkin, her day is not complete without a cup of Bell White Tea Pure, perfume and an outfit that suits her personal style
