WITH DR FRANCES PITSILIS Cosmetic and regenerative medicine, Skinfresh Clinic at the Regenerative Medicine Institute.
Tell us a bit about your set-up at Skinfresh Clinic and the Regenerative Medicine Institute. The cosmetic and appearance clinic has developed alongside the chronic illness clinic over the past 15 years. This allows us to optimise internal health for cosmetic patients. We look at diet, lifestyle, nutritional and hormonal issues; clients receive this assistance as well as cosmetic care. How does this approach give you the edge? We get the skin healthier from the inside so that active acne, rosacea, stubborn pigmentation and melasma are helped before cosmetic treatments are needed. This leads to better results in all the other problem areas too. What’s your philosophy? Clients want the best results with no pain or downtime, so we’ve perfected treatment protocols that achieve this. We focus on the client experience, and have laser and light treatments, as well as others for all skin types. What are your signature procedures? We can treat the darkest skins. Our Triple Treat is the ultimate in skin tightening and collagen production that can be used on any skin type. All the Vampire treatments are available here, and walk-in, walk-out fat reduction too. We offer free consultations for all of our treatments. What’s your latest and greatest treatment? We’re the first in Australia and the first and only clinic in New Zealand to have trusculpt 3D permanent fat-destroying technology. This safe and effective radio-frequency technology can treat any skin type and permanently removes up to 24 per cent of the fat layer while tightening the skin. Treatment areas include the double chin, abdomen, flanks, inner thighs, above the knees and back. Each treatment area takes 30 minutes and feels like a hot stone massage. Several areas can be treated in one session, and results can be seen in six to eight weeks. This is a true walk-in, walk-out, lunchtime procedure with no significant after-effects. We expect to be very busy with it as summer approaches!
