Reg­u­larly wax­ing your skis or snow­board is the eas­i­est thing you can do to keep your gear in good con­di­tion and guar­an­tee the best time out on the snow. While it’s a good idea to in­vest in a pro­fes­sional tune-up at the start of the sea­son and dur­ing win­ter (say ev­ery five full rid­ing days), it’s re­ally sim­ple to learn how to hot wax your skis at home and save some hard earned cash. All of the items you need can be bought from your lo­cal ski shop and some you’ll al­ready have at home. The info be­low has some points spe­cific for skis, but the ba­sic prin­ci­ples ap­ply for wax­ing snow­boards too.
