ALL ABOUT THE ‘P’S

South Canterbury Herald - - YOUR PAPER, YOUR PLACE -

Penguins, pavers and performers.

The year’s second South Canterbury Herald takes a look at seemingly all things beginning with ‘P’. Maybe. Not quite.

The little blue penguins’ breeding season has come to an end, and if you missed out you should most definitely put ‘visiting the penguins’ on your calendar for later on in the year.

Visiting these cute little birds is a treat and a half!

Thinking of heading to Belgium some time after October? Be sure to check out the Battle of Passchendaele memorial gardens, featuring Timaru bluestone.

If your New Year’s resolution was to see more shows, then you’ll be pleased to know there are a bunch of good ones coming up. This weekend Bailey Dunnage will put on his one man cabaret, Busker’s Lament, to raise money to fund his studies in Australia.

Speaking of New Year’s resolutions, how are they going? I can’t remember what mine were.... I hope you’ve been more successful than me!
