You will also learn tra­di­tional dances and the his­tory that go with it.

It is en­er­gis­ing and yet relaxing, sim­ple to get started and fun. A way to ex­press one­self and con­nect with oth­ers in a pos­i­tive en­vi­ron­ment.

All lev­els wel­come! Ev­ery­one will be chal­lenged at their own level! Djembe drums will be pro­vided but lim­ited, so con­tact Koffie on 021 026 80964 to book and re­serve a drum! ‘‘New re­search shows that rhythm is fun­da­men­tal to how the brain works and good rhythm pro­motes good health both phys­i­cally and men­tally.’’

So come and ex­pe­ri­ence the joy and ex­u­ber­ance of West African tra­di­tional Drum­ming and Dance!

Satur­day Fe­bru­ary 11 10.30am– 2pm and Sun­day Fe­bru­ary 12 10.30am–2pm. The West Africa Drum­ming and Dance Work­shop will take place at the Celtic Sports Cen­tre, Cnr Craigie av­enue and Browne Street, Ti­maru.
