To know where you came from is a nat­u­ral de­sire for most peo­ple so it is un­der­stand­able Tracey Cap­petti wants to find her bi­o­log­i­cal fa­ther, what­ever the rea­sons her mother has for keep­ing his iden­tity a se­cret. Though it is pos­si­ble her dad is not aware he fa­thered a child. As she says it is im­por­tant for her to at least have a photo of him for her own chil­dren.

It is now the time our lit­tle blue pen­guin male pop­u­la­tion have to build their nests on Caro­line Bay. We hope all dog own­ers will keep their pets un­der con­trol and mem­bers of the pub­lic al­low the wee birds the pri­vacy they need to feel se­cure in their new homes. it is a won­der­ful spec­ta­cle to see the pen­guins tot­ter up the beach af­ter a day’s fish­ing as they re­turn to their nests at dusk.

Young Ti­maru author Rachel Wil­son has just launched her first novel, Voice­less. She de­scribes it as non-typ­i­cal science fic­tion without any love tri­an­gles. Af­ter all the work that goes into writ­ing such a story it is grat­i­fy­ing to hear she sold 40 copies of the book at the launch.
