South Taranaki Star - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS -

While spring doesn’t officially start until September 21, for most of us the first week of the month is when winter leaves us. Or so the optimists among us believe.

Sadly, this doesn’t not happen all at once. We seem to have had rain for months because summer was so wet.

According to the Met Service unsettled conditions will be with us all next week. A wet September is on the cards. But at least we can now look forward to summer and with any luck it will be a warm, dry time.

This week we have stories of South Taranaki people who strive and contribute to our community as well as our regular features such as Stars Past and What’s On.

When we made the decision not to run sports results any more I know some clubs were disappointed. However, I am pleased to say that others send in photos with a story about the event. Because we work with templates we have to follow the design and a photo is required with practically every story. So, please, if your club has a story you would like to share do not hesitate to let us know.
