South Taranaki Star - - YOUR LOCAL NEWS -

When I read the story about the Christmas house tour that will take place on December 2, I was a bit taken aback.

I hadn’t realised Christmas was so close. That’s what happens when you are having fun, you lose track of time. And putting our your paper every week is fun. Jane and the team work really hard to make sure they get your stories told and your advertising interesting and in the paper.

Community papers are becoming more important as the online world encroaches on what was previously the role of newspapers. More and more readers are going online for their news. Unfortunately, those people who get all their news online will struggle to find out whom to believe.

The trouble is opinions are everywhere because everybody has one. Many opinions are illinformed but some people will believe anything.

Your paper is the one that has your stories from small successes to tall triumphs. We are there for you.
