Support the seniors in primary cross country
Tokoroa Interschool Cross Country
Tokoroa primary schools will hold the annual interschool cross country event on September 21, at the Tokoroa Athletics Clubrooms at Strathmore Park starting at 10.30am.
Support our senior students from all the primary schools in Tokoroa in the inter primary schools’ cross country event.
Fingers crossed for some fine weather, for even though cross country is about mud, it is difficult to keep students warm and dry for the hours it takes to get through all age groups. Good luck to all those participating. Involve ’10 The South Waikato festival – Involve ’10 runs from October 2 to October 17 inclusive. The calendar of events is currently being finalised and it looks like we are in for a fun-filled couple of weeks in the district.
There are plenty of events on offer, showcasing activities that are available to us throughout the district.
The festival is a celebration of life here in the South Waikato so take advantage of all that there is on offer and get involved.
Are you interested in finding out about how to walk for fitness or fat loss?
Sport Waikato, as part of the Involve ’ 10 festival, is running a workshop led by Sport Waikato’s exercise guru Stephanie McLennan. Stephanie will discuss ways to lose fat through walking and the differences when exercising for fitness as opposed to fat loss.
The session will be run in both Tokoroa and Putaruru during the Involve festival. Tokoroa’s session will be held on Tuesday October 5 from 6 to 8pm at Tokoroa Community Link (the WINZ building) in Torphin Crescent.
Putaruru’s session is on Tuesday October 12 from 6 to 8pm at the Central North Island Kindergarten Association building in Glenshea Street. Both sessions are free to attend but registration is essential. Phone Heather at the Sport Waikato office to register on 886 9002.
