Courtesy clean up thanks

South Waikato News - - OPINION -

On the evening of September 18 a 21st party was held in the soccer club building.

I live at the entrance to Strathmore Park. At 11pm I decided to hit the sack and up to that time we could hear voices et cetera outside which did not create a problem.

After this I did not hear a thing. I believe the party ended by 1am.

Next morning we could see bottles on our lawn and across the road. I do not have a problem picking up empty bottles and the odd broken one; this does not happen often.

While I was doing this I was joined by family members of the lad that turned 21.

They had checked the fields and the road into the park and picked up all the bottles.

It did not stop there as they cleaned up outside our property and then continued their clean up into Benalder Crescent.

To those family members, thank you. Craig Lawry
