Muddy thinking

South Waikato News - - OPINION -

Through your news paper, I would like to thank and congratulate the SWDC on behalf of all the camper van, house truck, and caravan users – New Zealanders and overseas tourists for draining the swamp area alongside the Arapuni swing bridge entrance track so that now all the water flows onto the designated caravan parking area at the rear of the bowling club which many of us use for several months of the year.

It’s really great for us now, as in the past we used to get out of our vans in the morning and cover the Waikato walking track for our exercise.

Now we don’t have to do that any more. We get enough exercise pushing our vehicles out of the soft mud that the Council (by its no-brainer) has turned much of the parking area into. Fellow House Trucker. Jean Glendinning

SWDC responded: Neither council nor our contractors have drained the area mentioned.
