Learn to Bowl

In­ter­ested in play­ing lawn bowls this sum­mer?

Coach Rus­sell Mur­phy will be avail­able each Tues­day in Novem­ber to teach new play­ers the skills of bowl­ing.

Ses­sions will run from 10am to 11am at the Toko­roa Bowl­ing Club. Ev­ery­one is wel­come.

Healthy Cook­ing on a bud­get

Want to at­tend the next sixweek block of Cook Smart classes?

Ses­sions for cook­ing healthy meals on a bud­get will be start­ing on Oc­to­ber 20 from 1pm to 3pm at the Elim Church on Aotea Cres­cent in Toko­roa.

Classes are free and each ses­sion is fol­lowed by a de­li­cious taste test­ing. Reg­is­tra­tion is es­sen­tial so phone Pricey at the Sport Waikato of­fice on 886 9002.

School hol­i­day pro­grammes

Sport Waikato will run school hol­i­day pro­grammes in Ti­rau and Ara­puni over the com­ing two weeks of school hol­i­days.

The Ti­rau pro­gramme is on each Tues­day and Thurs­day of the hol­i­day break from 10am2noon at the Ti­rau Me­mo­rial Hall.

The Ara­puni pro­gramme is on Mon­day, Wed­nes­day and Fri­day of the two-week hol­i­day at the Ara­puni Hall from 10am12noon. Cost per stu­dent is $2.

The South Waikato YMCA in Toko­roa is run­ning ac­tiv­i­ties each week­day from 9am till 12noon and then af­ter­noon ses­sions from 1pm to 4pm.

Ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude ta­ble ten­nis, roller skat­ing, a scav­enger hunt in the Toko­roa CBD and a wa­ter safety day.

The indoor pools will have in­flat­a­bles and other fun pool equip­ment avail­able each week­day at the pools in Toko­roa.

Buckland Street Child Care will run a pro­gramme in Pu­taruru each week­day at the St John Hall on Overdale St.
