Think pink for charity lake walk
Head to Lake Moananui on Friday for the Pink Walk.
Sport Waikato, SWPIHC, Raukawa and the South Waikato YMCA have banded together to organise this year’s Pink Walk on Friday, October 15.
Registrations will be taken from 4.30pm with the walk starting at 5pm around the Lake.
Cost for all walkers over 16 years is $ 5 with all funds raised going to the Waikato Breast Cancer Trust. The dress code is pink.
Cathy Williams has also donated a beautifully decorated fruit cake which is being raffled off for the cause.
Tickets are on sale now at the indoor pools in Tokoroa and the Sport Waikato office for just $1 per ticket.
Tickets will also be on sale at the Pink Walk and then drawn at the end of the walk.

Tokoroa Boxing Club, as part of the Involve festival, will open its doors tonight, Wednesday October 13 from 4.30pm to 5.30pm for students and from 5.30pm to 6.30pm for adults, all for free.
The hour-long workout includes skipping, core work, sit ups and pads and bags.
Everyone is very friendly and welcoming and the activities are very addictive.

Arapuni River trail Another section of the Waikato River Trail is nearing completion and will be open for an early viewing on Friday. Pack your walking shoes and meet in Arapuni Village at 11am for the 4km guided walk.
