Years 9 and 11 af­fected by strike

Ne­go­ti­a­tions be­tween the Post Pri­mary Teach­ers As­so­ci­a­tion and the Govern­ment have come to a halt mean­ing more strike ac­tion by high school teach­ers.

Year 9 stu­dents will not be taught to­day as part of rolling stop-work ac­tion. To­mor­row year 11 stu­dents will not be taught.

Ne­go­tia­tors for the two groups had agreed to start meet­ing again last week af­ter strike ac­tion ear­lier this month.

How­ever the PPTA re­jected the Govern­ment’s lat­est of­fer say­ing it was worse than a pre­vi­ous one.
