Stars are lined up for event

The line-up for Ro­torua’s 2011 reg­gae fes­ti­val Ragga­muf­fin was an­nounced last week in­clud­ing some of the biggest acts in mu­sic.

The list in­cludes in­ter­na­tional stars Mary J Blige, Sean Paul, Jimmy Cliff, Maxi Priest, The Orig­i­nal Wail­ers and Ky-Mani Mar­ley.

The reg­gae fes­ti­val is held ev­ery year on Fe­bru­ary 5 at Ro­torua In­ter­na­tional Sta­dium.

Tak­ing cen­tre stage will be nine-time Grammy Award win­ner Mary J Blige who has recorded hits with Aretha Franklin, U2 and Neyo.

Other per­form­ers in­clude sec­ond-time fes­ti­val per­former Maxi Priest and Ja­maican Grammy win­ner Sean Paul.

The fes­ti­val will also fea­ture The Orig­i­nal Wail­ers. The group in­cludes of three of the Wail­ers who per­formed with Bob Mar­ley.

Mar­ley’s sec­ond youngest child Ky-Mani Mar­ley will also per­form.
