Three year 13 Forest View High School students have each been awarded a David Johnstone Charitable Trust Scholarship.
Each student will receive $5000 to assist them with their tertiary studies.
Principal Richard Crawford said all three students were deserving recipients and that he looked forward to observing their progress at either the University of Waikato or the Waikato Institute of Technology.
He said that he felt immensely proud to see the Tokoroa community represented among a group of year 13 achievers throughout the Waikato.
Thomas Duncan will study science, Olivia Walker education and Amy Nicholson is taking art next year.
All three students were excited about starting their tertiary studies in the Waikato and were grateful for the assistance that the trust has awarded them.
The scholarships were established in 1996 under the provisions of a charitable trust formed by the late David Johnstone, a prominent Waikato farmer.
The scholarships are administered by Guardian Trust.
