Junior Tennis in Tokoroa

Junior tennis in Tokoroa started last week and will run each Friday evening starting at 5pm until school breaks up for the summer holidays.

All ages start at 5pm with beginners and younger players finishing at 6pm and the older more experienced players finishing at 7pm.

Fees for the season are still only $20 and carry over to the end of the season which usually finishes toward the end of March.

Players will need to bring a racquet and wear sports shoes. Phone Sport Waikato on 886 9002 for further details. Spring Into Action The Spring challenge: Spring into Action, run by Sport Waikato started last week and will run until December 10.

Seventy-two people have registered for the challenge which is a great result.

Now those people just have to motivate themselves to get more active and participate in the tasks and sports linked with the challenge.

Each week there will be a lucky prize winner for the person who does the most activity. Last week’s winner was Danielle Pethybridge.

Well done Danielle who went to 12 activity groups last week. A great result and one that others will now have to top. Good luck to all participants involved in the Spring into Action challenge.
